So let’s start this with the man behind this static Corolla that sits on some sweet BC Racing coilover’s. His name is Macauley, he brought his car back in 2018 as an upgrade from his previous Toyota Starlet. That fun fact, his cousin also had the exact same first car as Macauley. So this is Macauley’s second car since passing his test a few years ago. Macauley chose this car as something that could be some what “practical” for him but the main feature was the rather controversial 2ZZ-GE engine. Macauley is more of a Honda fanboy but thanks to this complex Yamaha designed engine once VVTL-i engages this engine sounds amazing and really takes off.
From the factory the 2ZZ-GE outputs 189hp stock from 1796cc of displacement, 132ft lbs of torque. Rev limiter is set at 8,300rpm once it’s had enough time to warm up. Neat little safety feature of the 2ZZ-GE engine.
Macauley has added the following mods, Japan Racing Wheels 17″ JR29’s, BC-Racing Coilovers, Custom cat-back exhaust, uprated drop-links, uprated rear “Hard Race” sway-bar, custom intake with RAMair filter.
The setup of Macauley’s T-Sport consist of Nangkang NS2R’s (235/40 on the front and rear are 215/40). The ride height (or the lowest point of the car) sits at 10cm from the ground.
The functionality of this car is a turn-key streetcar that might see occasional track use.
